Funny Page Stories

I get a lot of comments that the chibi stories at the back of the book are many peoples' favorite part. ^_^ I'm happy to say that everything that happened in those pages is true. The dialogue is real. I couldn't have made half that stuff up. So I kept a quotelist during the latter half of college filled with the silly things everybody around me kept saying.

Oh and that thing she's holding up there? That's a wooden boat paddle. They got it at a garage sale for some reason. I lived in fear of that thing. XD

Also I licked her face twice. Text alone cannot describe the sheer level of hilarity in the indignation of her voice. I owe her a third face licking. It will happen.

Yes my roommates and friends did hogtie and sit upon me. I did deserve it. I was poking Naty's face repeatedly with my toe. I was going to put the pictures they took in the book but they came out blurry. See?

Also, we still cannot remember why Naty said that the thought process was measured in trout.

That was the year I lived in an apartment style dorm with three of my friends (Naty was in another dorm so we were never technically roommates). This was our supercool living room.

On the bottom right there is the little section of wall I claimed for my workspace. Those are Azuri pages on the floor. Man I tell you what, that carpet was brand new and it kept getting on my Azuri pages without me noticing until after I scanned them, I kept seeing these little black squiggles all over them and I was like What IS that!! Oh yeah. Carpet.

One time I bit my lip and accidentally drew blood and I knew this 'cause I tested it with my thumb and was like "Oh, blood on my thumb, what do I do with it" so I stamped in on an Azuri page I was working on. Heh. Bloody thumbprint. But then it weirded me out too much and I covered it with an ink splotch. I don't remember which page that was.

Ohoho one of the very first pages of Unagi was giving me a really hard time. It was his arm. I just could not get it right. I was outside at the Arboretum (for you Austinites, for non-Austinites, it's this really cool outdoor shopping center) and I got so fed up with it that I threw the page onto the ground, sat upon it, rubbed my bum all over the pencils smearing them and got up and walked away in a huff.

I later fixed it and it did make it into the book.

I'm glad to say I did the dorm life and survived it, but dorms are noisy and you don't get nearly enough sleep in them. Lack of sleep makes Ericas cranky. So although I have many treasured memories from college dorm life, I'm also glad I don't have to repeat it. ^_^;;
